This was my first complete epidemiologic research proposal and an early opportunity to apply study-design principles to a pharmacovigilance question. I developed the research aims, eligibility criteria, exposure and outcome definitions, confounding strategy, effect-modification assessment, and planned statistical analysis.

The project ended at the proposal stage, so the planned analysis was not conducted and no results are presented. I am including selected pages because the proposal documents an important stage in the development of my epidemiologic reasoning and study-design skills.
