This group project examined telehealth implementation through the World Health Organization’s health system building block of service delivery. Our team used case studies from lower-middle-income countries across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East to compare how digital health services are introduced within different institutional, geographic, and resource settings.

My contribution focused on the Middle East and neighboring regions. I examined examples of telehealth implementation and considered how infrastructure, workforce capacity, governance, access, and local conditions shaped service delivery. The selected slides below represent my portion of the group presentation.

Although the project centered on telehealth, it broadened my understanding of artificial intelligence within global health systems. It reinforced that emerging technologies cannot be evaluated separately from the institutions and service structures in which they operate. Connectivity, policy, workforce readiness, public trust, and regional context all influence whether a technology can be implemented effectively and equitably.

This project also strengthened my experience with collaborative research, regional case study analysis, comparative synthesis, and translating complex information into a shared visual presentation.
